Impact Weapons

Impact weapons have been defined to include any weapons whose effects are based on kinetic energy impact. Batons, nightstick and billy clubs are the oldest and still the most frequently available impact weapons.  The major constraint on the use of these weapons is their potential to cause serious or fatal injuries. An impact from a baton for example can cause serious fracture to the skull and skeletal structure.
