First Time Preparation

A removable storage tear tab is placed on the top/back side of the actuator and does not allow actuator activation unless removed by the operator prior to initial use. This feature also ensures that the product has not been used before. Break the storage tab by pulling it downward while holding the canister with the other hand before initial use.

Actuator Locking System

Auto-Lock: Grab the canister. As you do this your index finger falls naturally on the front button. The entire hand must squeeze the canister and the front release button (pressing the front button with the tip of your index finger is NOT the correct natural movement). While holding the front button in, push in the top actuator with your thumb to spray. Release the front button and the system locks automatically.

Auto-Lock Override (Always Armed): This option is for operators who prefer the canister to be placed in an armed or spray position at all times. Press the front button all the way in; a small latch in the back of the actuator will protrude. Gently press it down and snap into a locked position. The canister is now armed. To release, press the front button again.

Aiming: For proper aiming, bend your wrist upward so that you see the nozzle above the subject's face. Then lower the nozzle straight down as you aim between the subject's eyebrows.
