Zarc International, Inc. is proud to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the 2024–2025 Made in Illinois Grant, a competitive program administered by the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC) and the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO). This award marks an exciting milestone for our company, our employees, and the community we have called home for more than four decades.

Since 1982, Zarc has been an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of pepper sprays, irritant projectiles, and less-lethal defense solutions. From the pioneering CapStun® brand to our modern VEXOR® and Zarc X-Series platforms, innovation has always been at the core of our identity.
Strengthening Illinois Manufacturing
Zarc’s Minonk facility has been our home base since 2005. This grant provides important support to help us continue manufacturing locally, modernizing our processes, and expanding our operational footprint in Central Illinois.
With this support, Zarc is positioned to accelerate several strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, expand capacity, and fuel long-term growth.
A Partnership with IMEC
Our collaboration with IMEC has been instrumental throughout this process. Their team offers practical, hands-on guidance that helps manufacturers identify where operational improvements will have the greatest long-term impact.
Their leadership, insight, and support played a major role in guiding us through the program and helping Zarc chart its future improvements.
